The Australian AI Music Alliance and OZBeat AI have released the ISRC-AAM-CID 2.0 Discussion Draft, marking the next stage in the development of the AI music identification and disclosure framework first introduced in February 2025.
Building on more than a year of practical implementation, ISRC-AAM-CID 2.0 explores how AI-related music information can become more structured, verifiable and interoperable across the global music ecosystem.
The Discussion Draft proposes six key directions for evolution: moving from a serial composite code towards a parallel architecture; introducing dynamic and versioned AAM weighting; developing structured and quantifiable AI disclosure; extending CID into a broader File Identity Record; establishing clearer Party and Representation models for natural persons, digital representations and virtual identities; and extending AAM from the ISRC-identified Sound Recording layer to the ISWC-identified Musical Work layer.
Together, these directions point towards a broader AI Music Identity & Trust Architecture, connecting established music identifiers with AI disclosure, participant identity, digital files, provenance and industry data exchange.
The 2.0 Discussion Draft is intended to open industry discussion rather than present a final standard. The Australian AI Music Alliance and OZBeat AI will continue exploring how the framework can work alongside established global music and digital-content infrastructure, including the DDEX music data ecosystem and C2PA provenance and authenticity standards.
