On August 31, the Half Lecture Half Concert organized the Future Soundscape: Cyber Eastern AI Music Festival, which was successfully held at the Royal Academy of Music in London, UK, in an atmosphere rich in art and technology. The Australian AI Music Alliance was invited to participate, presenting its team’s achievements on stage.
As a co-founder of the Alliance, Steve Zhang delivered a keynote speech titled “From Innovation to Standards: How AI Music Finds Its Voice”. In his address, he reviewed the Australian AI Music Alliance’s exploration and contributions in advancing AI music standardization and ecosystem development, including the launch of the world’s first AI music evaluation standard, the innovative ISRC-AAM-CID coding system, and a transparent AI music charting mechanism, all aimed at creating a fairer and more sustainable environment for creators. During the presentation, the Alliance team also showcased AI music videos infused with Eastern aesthetics, vividly demonstrating the team’s high-level achievements at the intersection of art and technology.
The festival brought together experts and scholars from diverse fields, as well as young performing artists, who delivered cutting-edge insights and vibrant performances. Together, they created a celebration that blended intellectual depth with artistic expression. Audiences not only experienced the fusion of technology and music, but also witnessed how AI music is steadily moving onto the mainstream stage.
